After years of high-impact exercise, Nahema taught me how to honor my body while still feeling strong. She created a space where I did not feel judged or left behind.
Thanks Nahema!
The restorative classes helped me recover from shoulder surgery better than physical therapy alone. I've found both physical healing and emotional peace on my mat.
As a busy lab manager, these classes are my sanctuary. I've learned to carry the calm from my practice into my everyday life, especially during stressful situations.
I never thought yoga was for me until I found Nahema. Now I feel stronger, more balanced, and have made wonderful friendships with people who understand this stage of life.
Place a bolster or folded blanket lengthwise on your mat. Kneel with knees wide, big toes touching, and gently fold forward over the support. Rest your head to one side, arms relaxed. Hold for 3-5 minutes, breathing deeply into your back.
Sit sideways next to a wall, then swing your legs up as you lay back. Your sitting bones can be against the wall or slightly away. Optional: place a folded blanket under your lower back. Rest here for 5-10 minutes, feeling tension melt away.
Place a bolster or rolled blanket lengthwise under your spine, allowing your heart to open gently. Support your head to keep your neck comfortable. Arms rest to the sides, palms up. Rest here for 5 minutes, feeling your breath expand your chest.
